Introductions Preventive measures for occupational health problems are still uncommon in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The objective of this study was to investigate effective approaches to promote occupational health information to small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan. Methods We published a collection of good practices of occupational health, based on the results of an interview survey conducted among SMEs, on the research group website in June 2022. Then, we recruited 50 various support organizations (e.g., chambers of commerce and industry, labor and social security attorneys) that were familiar consultation services for SMEs. In May 2023, we started to provide information about websites and good practices to SMEs through them. During the intervention period (from May to September, 2023), we continue to count the number of accesses to the website. Results At the baseline (from December 16 to May 15, 2023), the total number of accesses to the website was only 189 in three months. In three months of the intervention (from May 16 to July 15, 2023), the number increased five times (1,029 accesses). Some organizations were very influential on SMEs, and it increased 50 to 100 in a day after they provided information to SMEs. Conclusion For the promotion of occupational health information to SMEs, various support organizations may have great impact on it. For implementing effective preventive measures for occupational health among them, the collaboration of occupational health professionals and various support organizations for SMEs may be important.
