To study the effect of propellant size on the combustion performance of the propellant, the combustion performance of three propellant types and their different ratio of inner perforation to diameter were studied by using the combustion experiment and data processing method of multi-nitro ester propellant as the research object. The results showed that within the test drug size range, under different initial temperatures and filling density conditions, the larger the ratio of charge length to the diameter of single-perf, 7-perf, and 19-perf propellant is, the larger the burning rate will be under the same pressure at the initial stage of combustion. The larger the length-to-diameter ratio of 7-perf and 19-perf propellants of the same type is, the better the gradual combustion will be, and the less influence there will be on single-perf propellants. The loading density has a certain effect on the constant volume combustion performance of the propellant: the higher the loading density is, the lower the combustion rate will be, which is because the erosion combustion phenomenon of the initial combustion of the propellant decreases with the increase of the loading density.
