To meet the requirements of synchronous explosion loading of the large-area array in special experiments, a large-area array multi-point synchronous explosive circuit based on the thin sheet explosive detonated by a mild detonating fuse is designed. The explosive circuit is composed of a detonator, a mild detonating fuse, and a sheet explosive booster. In this study, the synchronization of initiation is analyzed theoretically, and the reliability test and synchronization test of the large-area array multi-point explosive circuit are carried out. The results show that the main factors affecting the initiation synchronicity include the length of the mild detonating fuse and the deviation of the detonating speed of the mild detonating fuse. The comprehensive initiation rate of the multi-point synchronous explosive circuit is 99.5%. The asynchrony ranges for the two-stage, three-stage, and four-stage synchronous explosive circuits are 0.32 μs, 0.37 μs, and 0.50 μs, respectively. This study provides a simpler and more efficient solution for achieving synchronous explosion loading of the large-area array.
