In order to analyze the influence of different initial conditions on the performance of the impactor in a new impact testing device with double-sided pressurization, a two-dimensional numerical model of the impact testing device is established. Numerical calculations are performed on the model by using CFD software, combined with dynamic mesh technology. The influence of the initial pressure on the velocity performance of the impactor is obtained, and numerical validation is conducted with the existing impact testing device. The results show that the impactor under double-sided pressurization can achieve a higher velocity close to the experimental data, confirming the effectiveness and accuracy of this method. The research findings are helpful for predicting the velocity of impactors in impact testing devices under laboratory conditions.
