The procedure for the criminal prosecution and judicial examination of offences committed by legal persons falls under the category of special procedures. The legislator has established a new special procedure applicable to legal persons, called the public interest judicial agreement. The relatively new procedure implies certain conditions of application, time limits, obligations established, involvement of the court, the defender, the superior public prosecutor, for the conclusion of such an agreement. These specific features make it necessary to lay down special rules applicable to the conclusion of a judicial agreement in the public interest.
