Replacement of missing tooth for rehabilitation of lost function and esthetics is the utmost importance to satisfy the patient. For the xed replacement of lost teeth, the most accepted procedure is the dental implant. Conventional implant system requires adequate quantity and quality of residual alveolar bone and 4 to 6 months of waiting period for osseo-integration to take place. In-adequate bone situations and for the immediate prosthetic demand of the patient, basal and cortical implant is the choice as an alternative to conventional system. The basal and cortical implant can achieve good primary stability to be tted for immediate loading.
