Ideas are produced that the existence of innovation and progression in architecture is relative, and that architecture as a professional practice and the architect, who is its practitioner, carries today's semantic equivalents forever. This article aims to examine the existence of the concepts of innovation and development in architecture focusing on the semantic shifts experienced by architecture and the architect, as well as the temporal breaks that cause these shifts, through drawing, which is a branch of architectural representation. In the article, these are analyzed by considering their relations with the representation methods that play a simultaneous role in the change process of architecture, which was initially a knowledge that did not allow individuality and its practitioner who was required to know almost all its scientific background had to learn by experience, however, now has become a specialty on its own by distinguishing itself from all other knowledge. In the study, which examines the separation of means and ends observed in the use of architectural representation, a projection of the current situation in the meaning crises in the relationship between architecture and representation is attempted to be revealed.
