The influence of the thickness of the magnet and the magnetic circuit on the power characteristics of a magnetic system with highly coercive permanent magnets Nd–Fe–B with a residual magnetic induction of 1.1 T is considered. The material of the magnetic circuits is steel 15. The thicknesses of high-coercive permanent magnets and magnetic conductors are 10 mm, 8 mm and 6 mm. Mathematical expressions have been obtained by which it is possible to calculate the shear force created in a magnetic system when the upper section of the magnetic system is displaced relative to the lower one with an air gap between the magnets of the sections of the magnetic system from 2 to 12 mm.
