We have studied the effects of drought stress on the activities of some enzymes of the Calvin-Benson cycle and their degree of activation in the leaves of Chenopodium album and photosynthetic gas exchange parameters. The decrease in the rate of photosynthetic CO2 assimilation under moderate drought stress initially occurs due to the partial stomatal closure and under severe drought. It is assumed that the negative effect of drought on the activities of some enzymes of the Calvin-Benson cycle may cause the weakening of photosynthesis in the leaves of Chenopodium album.
