This article is devoted to the widespread Altai tradition of ceremonial visits to healing springs in the summer and autumn periods, when it is believed that at this time, the reception of water procedures is the most productive. The authors rely not only on published sources on this topic, but also on their own field materials to fix this rite, which consists of several stages and observances of a number of ritual prohibitions and norms of behavior. At the same time, these materials have been collected for several years, not only from the Altai Republic but also from the sacred springs of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
