The purpose of this study is to explore how to maximise the teaching and learn ing effect by applying the problem-based learning model to the central learning content of the course ‘Professional Performance and Strategic Communication’, which has been offered at University A since 2023. By using a problem-based learning approach to planning, you can expect to im prove your ability to analyse a problem from multiple angles, anticipate potential problems and devise effective solutions, and create specific plans that meet the needs of your audience or stakeholders. The results of this study showed that by using problem-based learning for the task of writing a proposal, which is essential for improving job skills, learners’ self-directed learning and problem-solving skills were substantially improved. It was also confirmed that problem-based learning enhances learners’ concrete interest in the learning content, their willingness to perform, and their ability to solve problems in real-life situations. In addition, the educational significance of problem-based learning is that learners were able to specifically understand the factors necessary to improve their learning ability by reflecting and thinking about the mindset required for learning and the way they do things.
