The relevance. This article studies the evolving landscape of electronic archival systems for academic works, highlighting the international experiences and practices in the digitization of traditional archives to enhance accessibility and efficiency in processing educational and scientific materials. It underscores the growing necessity for digitization to meet contemporary international standards and addresses the digital archiving of qualification works, which has become imperative due to the increasing demand from both regulatory bodies and society to ensure higher quality in education and research. The purpose of this study is to analyze methodologies from global registries of academic works and to identify best practices employed by leading international universities that could be adapted by Ukrainian institutions to improve their electronic archival systems. This is aimed at enhancing the prestige of Ukrainian education and research on a global scale. Methodologically, the article reviews existing digital archives such as ProQuest Dissertations and Theses, OATD, NDLTD, and DART-Europe, discussing their indexing and storage methods and the role of the OAI-PMH protocol in simplifying metadata exchange across different repositories. This integration facilitates the global accessibility of academic resources, thus expanding the educational and research landscape internationally. In conclusion, the findings suggest a significant progression in the digital publication, storage, and dissemination of academic works globally. The study advocates for the continued development and optimization of electronic archives, recommending that future research focus on technological tools and frameworks that can integrate Ukrainian academic works into international registers. This integration will demonstrate the quality of Ukrainian research and elevate the stature of its educational institutions worldwide.
