Palmira Ventós, the author who hides behind a masculine nom de plume , was acclaimed at the beginning of her activity as a playwright, only to be overshadowed when another writer, Caterina Albert, also masquerading under a male pseudonym, Víctor Català, who started writing fiction in Catalan.
