Background: Many cancers have been documented to produce parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrp), but less commonly, neuroendocrine tumors have also been known to produce this peptide including gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. There are very few case reports on the resolution of hypercalcemia secondary to PTHrp-producing pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET) using selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) with Ytrium-90 (90Y) labelled microspheres.
