This study analyzes the diverse activities and significant achievements of Bhikkhuni Sooin, spanning from the Japanese colonial period to the industrialization era. In particular, she contributed to laying the foundation for the Bhikkhuni great temple through the purification and rebuilding of Unmun-sa. Additionally, her achievements are especially meaningful and deserving of discussion because they purified temples through Buddhist values of harmony, mercy, and coexistence during times when confrontation, struggle, and violence were prevalent. Despite these contributions, research on Bhikkhuni Sooin remains limited, and she has not received substantial attention in academic circles. This paper aims to systematically analyze Bhikkhuni Sooin
