To the Question of the Structure of Professional Deformation in Oncologists

The analysis of the features of the manifestation of professional maladjustment in oncological hospital doctors arising in the course of their professional activities is carried out. The data of changes in three groups of indicators of the manifestation of professional deformation of oncologists are presented: characteristics of psychoemotional burnout, indicators of chronic fatigue, the level of depression. The values of indicators of correlations between these components of professional deformation are given. It was found that 35.5% of oncologists showed signs of emotional burnout, 33.3% had a pronounced level, and 19.6% had an initial degree of chronic fatigue. However, the level of manifestation of signs of depressive disorders in all subjects does not exceed normal values. The data obtained in studies analyzing the structure of professional deformation of oncologists showed that burnout, chronic fatigue and depression are separate nosological units that are subject to self-diagnosis. The results obtained in the studies should be applied in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of the manifestations of professional deformation of oncological hospital doctors.
