The analysis of statistical indicators, informational letters, analytical reviews of the management of the regime and supervision of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the period from 2017 to 2021 allowed the authors to compile an average criminological portrait of a convict who escaped from supervision. The authors believe that, having information in the professional activity of the analyzed individual characteristics of convicts who have escaped from supervision, they will further provide an opportunity to rationally and effectively organize educational and preventive work with them to prevent and suppress escapes from supervision.
