What are the characteristics of individuals convicted for drug importation offences? A rapid evidence assessment to inform understanding of risk factors associated with drug importation

Lack of research into drug importation risk factors contributes to a lack of evidence based rehabilitative pathways. This Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA) explores literature related to drug importation risk factors. Six themes emergent from the literature are discussed, alongside limitations and implications for applied forensic practice. Future directions for applied practice and research are suggested.
