The article examines the regional features of the emergence and functioning of sacred spaces and individual objects, typical for the kazakh and tatar population of rural settlements in the south of the Chelyabinsk region. Mythological characters of developed and undeveloped spaces, natural and cultural elements of the landscape endowed with hierotopic properties and associated rites and rituals are highlighted. The variety of forms and manifestations of sacralization of objects is examined in detail using the example of the village of Redutovo, Chesmensky district, with a mixed tatar-kazakh population, where the creation of a religious worldview and landscape, traditional for “folk Islam,” and associated practices associated with national identity, the preservation of memory and its reproduction were studied.
