Case ReportThe average age of hemodialysis patients has been increasing, leading to increase in patients with insufficient vascular resources for dialysis access. The author addressed this issue by correcting completely occluded brachial artery through endarterectomy and angioplasty, to enable their utilization as inflow vessels for hemodialysis.Although the patient underwent steal syndrome following the surgery, peripheral blood flow restored through angioplasty and endovascular stent insertion, allowing for the stable maintenance of the dialysis access. In patients with depleted resources for dialysis access, it may be possible to utilize occluded arteries as inflow vessels through appropriate correction.
