Brushless DC motors are widely used in various fields, such as mechanical automation, instrument equipment, etc., with high speed regulation performance and high power density. However, due to the failure of the current to undergo sudden changes during commutation, corresponding torque pulsations may occur during the actual demand process, which may cause interference to the entire central control area [1-3]. References [4] and [5] analyzed the influence of different PWM modes on the electromagnetic torque of brushless DC motors when they are in an electric state. However, during actual operation, the motor may operate in generator mode due to interference from different external influencing factors. When the motor is in a power generation state, its forward and reverse conversion adjustment operations can easily cause instability in the central control system. This article analyzes in depth the impact of dual chop and single chop modulation on the electromagnetic torque of the motor in response to its shortcomings.
