The Emergency Boron Injection System (REB) is an important new safety system of Hualong Pressurized Reactor (HPR1000). Because there are dynamic interactions between system components and process variables in the running process of REB system, it is necessary to adopt a dynamic method for reliability modeling. The reliability modeling and analysis of the REB are conducted using the Dynamic Flowgraph Methodology (DFM). Given the system dynamics and the Common Cause Failure (CCF) of boron injection pumps, the DFM model is formulated. We selected "High core reactivity 30 minutes after Anticipated Transient Without Scram (ATWS)" as the top event, converting the DFM model into a Time Fault Tree (TFT). 30 Prime implicants (PI) are obtained by solving the model and the probability of occurrence of the top event is 1.17e-03. The results can be taken as technical support for risk management and operation and maintenance of nuclear power plants.
