Traditional medium-voltage power line communication technology has limitations such as low receiver sensitivity, single frequency band, and susceptibility to power line noise interference, thus not meeting the requirements of modern smart distribution networks. The paper proposes an impedance adaptation method utilizing multi-winding transformer switching to alter the turns ratio, thus accommodating the effects of carrier wave reflection resulting from various line impedance. Additionally, a frequency adaptive method based on OFDM modulation and demodulation with a frequency filtering algorithm is also presented. Simulation results demonstrate that the adaptive point-of-interest communication mechanism based on the proposed methods can effectively enhance the reliability and effectiveness of communication.
