This paper presents how to characterize an industrial trace moisture transmitter and a summary of an anonymous characterization of transmitters from different brands. Measurement results indicate significant deviation in results between the transmitters indicating significant differences in their measurement performance. Therefore, knowledge of how to characterize a trace moisture transmitter enables choosing optimal instrumentation, and thus improves the process where the gas is used and measured.
