This paper presents experimental temperature records obtained from both a conventional temperature sensor and an oscillating ultrasonic temperature sensor (UOTS) in various scenarios. The UOTS output frequency was measured over 6.25 milliseconds. The UOTS demonstrated high responsiveness to rapid temperature changes, whereas the conventional temperature sensor underestimated the maximal temperature in the enclosure by approximately 10°C and took a substantial amount of time to return to baseline values. The temperature curves recorded by both sensors were in very good agreement, particularly when monitoring the temperature in the enclosure. However, when monitoring the temperature in an open space, both sensors exhibited notable variability, with the UOTS frequency variability being higher, likely due to its sensitivity to both local temperature and air movements between the ultrasonic transducers.
