This paper introduces wirelessly-powered millimeter-wave 5G relay transceivers. The proposed relay transceivers enable wireless communication at 28GHz leveraging the 24GHz wireless power transfer signal. The relay transceiver realizes beamforming and frequency conversion with drastically lower power consumption, which can be supplied by the WPT generation power. This paper briefly introduces the fabricated prototypes of the wirelessly powered relay transceivers.
