This paper reviews the research on the application of nanoparticles in the biomedical field. Nanoparticles have been hailed as the new materials of the 21st century, and their concept has been widely valued and intensively developed since it was introduced by the scientific community in the mid-20th century. The penetration and influence of nanotechnology on biomedical engineering is obvious, which allows nanoparticles to enter into the cells of the human body and treat living substances such as nucleic acids and proteins at the molecular and atomic levels, and introduces research projects such as targeted drug delivery, in vitro assays, gene therapy, and transplantation, regeneration, and repair of human organs into the micro- and microscopic fields and has achieved many research results. This is of great significance in improving the quality of life of patients, alleviating their pain and prolonging human life. There are many problems and challenges in the application of nanotechnology, such as toxic side effects, biological barriers, ethical constraints, etc. It is believed that with the development of science and technology these problems will be gradually solved and benefit mankind.
