Estimation of the Noise Model Received on a Large Array of Sensors

We present here a new method for estimating the noise model received on a large array of sensors (high number of sensors).with this aim in view, we present an algorithm which uses only the outputs of beamforming as observations.The asymptotic roperties of the method are detailed, an extension to the multifrequency est mation is then proposed.Finally, simulation results confirm its interest.The developed method proves robust and efficient.Its low computation cost should allow to include it easily into classical array processing and to improve its performances.
