Over the years, one of the biggest challenges for researchers has been to propose authentication schemes that will be both usable and secure and will ensure user's privacy. The advent of Extended Reality (XR), as a new emerging technology, introduced more challenges and opportunities for authentication. Researchers have proposed several methods for user authentication, however a major challenge lies in comparing between the various methods. This comparison is crucial for XR stakeholders to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, aiding informed decision-making. In addressing this challenge, this late-breaking work reports the results of a small-scale user study with experts in the field, moving towards a framework for evaluating user authentication schemes in XR.
