In this study, a new combined reinforcement structure suitable for reinforced soil-retaining walls is proposed. FLAC 3D finite element software was used to establish three-dimensional numerical models of reinforced soil retaining walls with different forms of reinforcement, and the effects of reinforced rings on the mechanical and deformation characteristics of retaining walls, as well as the mechanism of the reinforced rings working with horizontal geogrids, were investigated. The test results verified the superiority of the ring combination-reinforced structure in bearing and deformation under the same loading conditions. Moreover, the ring combination-reinforced soil retaining wall exhibited a stronger ability to resist deformation than the horizontal-reinforced soil retaining wall.
