This survey study was carried out to observe the reproductive performance of local buffaloes in Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Sixty buffaloes were chosen as the objects of observation for service per conception (S/C), postpartum oestrus (PPO) and calving interval (CI). The data obtained were analysed descriptively. The results showed that S/C was 1.87, PPO was 3 months or more, and CI was 15 months or more. It can be concluded that reproductive performance of female buffaloes in Mamasa Regency was quite low, and need to be increased by improving the rearing management.
