An analysis of the current state of sunflower seed production in Ukraine was conducted. The main indicators of sunflower seed production were studied. Based on this analysis, the potential of our country in providing raw materials for oil and fat processing enterprises and in exporting raw materials to world markets was assessed. The main problems of sunflower seed production, such as significant expansion of sowing areas and low yield levels, were identified and thoroughly analyzed.
