ECochG measurements in the course of Cochlear Implantation to evaluate the insertion trauma in minipigs

Introduction The minipig represents a highly relevant animal model in translational research. Thus, we used cochlear implants that are typically utilized in a clinical setting for human patients in said porcine inner ears in vivo. To observe and characterize long-term sequelae after electrode insertion, we performed electrocochleography (ECochG) measurements before and after cochlear implantation surgery.
