Do BDNF and the phosphodiesterase inhibitor rolipram have a protective effect on the organ of Corti cell line HEI-OC1 under oxidative stress?

Introduction Corrosion processes at platinum electrode contacts of cochlear implants are largely unexplained. In addition to primary cultures of spiral ganglion neurons, immortalized cell lines of the organ of Corti are also available for in vitro screening of potential inhibitors. The aim of this study is to characterize the effects of BDNF and the phosphdiesterase inhibitor rolipram on HEI-OC1 cells exposed to oxidative stress by disodium hexachloroplatinate (Na2PtCl6) administration.
