Introduction In head and neck cancer (HNSCC), tumor markers have so far played a subordinate role in treatment decisions. The multicenter prospective ImmunBio-KHT study (NCT05375266) defines immunological biomarkers for HNSCC from peripheral blood. Further potential markers for metabolism and the microbiome are analyzed in parallel from saliva, tumor and stool samples.
