Unleashing Academic Excellence: Innovative Continuous Evaluation Strategies for Programming-Intensive Courses

Abstract The study focuses on the process of continuous assessment which occurs in classes which are involving program- ming. It focuses on the ability of various continuous and varied assessment tools to enhance active learning, teamwork, and outcome-based education (OBE). The selection from a variety, the mix, of different assessment methodologies like scenario- based mid-term exams and teamwork group assignments were knowingly and carefully applied. The study underscores the effect of various assessment techniques to promote active learning, and collaboration, and the objectives of OBE stimulated by the principles of the National Education Policy of India. This paper shows how the assessment strategies bolster an agile, learner- centered education process, leading to a deeper understanding of programming concepts.
