The study aims to explore the excitation technique of magnetic field modes in Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) using external probes for energy input, addressing signal loss and space occupation issues in traditional SIW signal input. Ansys HFSS was employed to simulate the electromagnetic behavior of SIW structures and identify the optimal excitation method. Experimental results demonstrate that probe-based input effectively excites the magnetic field mode of SIW, achieving lower reflection loss.
