Lisp is one of the basic functional programming languages. There are many modifications and implementations of language dialects, but stable and simple implementations that have proven their reliability over time are often used in the educational process. Such implementations include muLisp. The paper is devoted to the development of a cross-platform interpreter for the muLISP language. The main points of its internal structure are outlined: analysis of input expressions, representation of built-in functions, the computation process and memory management mechanisms. Numerous software tools used to develop the compiler are presented.
