Abstract

The article introduces the integration of information technologies into colorimetric laboratory research. Software programs facilitate 3D modeling of laboratory specimens and enable qualitative object recognition, along with necessary colorimetric calculations. As an example, the development of a digital colorimeter for laboratory research on objects with complex shapes and various colors is presented. Such developments can serve as a viable alternative to laboratory setups and assist students in gaining practical experience with the processes of design, modeling, and information technologies. Colorimetric measurements are essential in various scientific and technical fields, such as the food and paint industries, gemology, genetics, and medicine.
