In this paper, an absorbative band-notched log-periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) with lumped resistance loading is proposed. The designed antenna loads lumped resistances at the junction of the dipole and the feeding line, to absorb the input energy at the notched frequency. Therefore, the proposed antenna has the characteristic of energy absorption in the specific frequency band at around 2.45GHz. Simulated results show that the reflection coefficient is lower than -10 dB at the full frequency band from 0.5 GHz to 12.5 GHz. The realized gain drops over 20 dBi at 2.45 GHz. Therefore, the proposed antenna can work well in the interference environment of 2.4G WLAN communication system.
