This paper describes some ongoing projects at the Algerian Space Agency that utilize remote sensing hyperspectral data, with a special emphasis on those acquired from the spaceborne PRISMA sensor. These investigations, fostered through both national and international collaborations, are divided into two categories: methodological advancements in hyperspectral data processing and the development of space applications predominantly using such advanced methods. The methodological advancements primarily focus on unsupervised and informed unmixing techniques, which incorporate both linear and non-linear mixing models, without or with taking into account the spectral variability phenomenon, and also the sharpening of considered data using the unmixing concept. As for the space applications, they are mainly oriented towards sectors such as mineral prospecting, monitoring of urban and marine environments, and the detection and analysis of greenhouse gas emissions.
