High-order coupled resonance optical waveguide filters with ultra-large free-spectral-ranges are demonstrated. We use novel width evolution functions to reduce the size of the filters. Third to tenth-order filters were experimentally confirmed to have low-loss and flat-top response for possible use in WDM communications.
