A novel carbon fiber coded metasurface structure for Rada cross section (RCS) scattering is proposed. The fundamental building block with arranged carbon fiber is termed "cell 1", and the unit cell without carbon fiber is termed "cell 0". By alternately arranging cell 1 and cell 0, the desired effect of RCS reduction can be achieved. This paper provides a detailed introduction to the basic unit structure and its composition array. The calculation theory and method of RCS reduction in coded metasurface are expounded upon, and the calculation results of RCS reduction are given. Subsequently, the design and simulation of the array structure are carried out, and the simulation results of the array are presented. The study primarily focus on the calculated results of coded arrays at different incident angles. Finally, a physical test is conducted on the coded metasurface structure, revealing significant RCS reduction with a maximum of -19.1dB at 10.6GHz and consistently below -10dB from 8 to 11.6GHz. Remarkably, the final structure achieves a low profile with a thickness of only 4.5 mm.
