This paper focuses on the application of time-domain coding metasurfaces in the realization of millimeter-wave wireless communication systems. Leveraging the principles of modulation and demodulation, the binary frequency shift keying (BFSK) and quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation schemes based on time-domain digital coding metasurfaces have been implemented. To validate the theoretical framework, a wireless communication verification system using time-domain digital coding metasurfaces was established and image transmission experiments were conducted in a microwave anechoic chamber, and the maximum symbol rate is 1.25 Mbps. The compact metasurface designed in this paper allows flexible placement at arbitrary locations, facilitating easy installation and integration into various devices. This work demonstrates the significant research potential and application value of temporal-domain digitally coded metasurfaces in wireless communication systems.
