This paper proposes a generalized risk modeling approach to analyze risk in emerging systems. A continuous-domain modeling of risk as a function of available resources in a system is suggested, and utilized to proportionately allocate resources across different requirements in a system for a fixed total constraint on the available resources. A sustainable design is proposed in the paper to enable risk minimization, where the minimization is performed with a gradient-descent based differential risk allocation across the requirements. The proposed model is studied in the emerging context of security and trust and AI-inferencing requirements, which have increased the demands for resources in systems.
