Oil-immersed transformers are one of the important equipment responsible for power transmission and transformation in the power system, and their safe and stable operation has a significant impact on the stable operation of the power grid. In oil-immersed transformers, insulation oil plays an important role in heat dissipation and insulation, and its quality largely determines the insulation life and safety of the transformer. Natural ester insulation oil, with its high ignition point and easy degradation, can improve the insulation life of transformers and become a future development trend. However, the different physical and chemical properties of natural ester insulation oil can have a significant impact on the temperature rise characteristics of transformers. In large natural ester-insulated oil transformers, insulation damage caused by local overheating of windings is a common cause of transformer faults. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on their temperature rise characteristics to provide technical support for transformer design and operation maintenance strategy formulation. This article takes an oil-immersed transformer with a voltage level of 110kV as an example and calculates the temperature field distribution of the transformer based on finite element magneto-thermal coupling. The transformer insulation oil uses natural esters, and this article also analyzes the influence of natural esters on heat dissipation characteristics compared to mineral oil.
