This article opens a series of publications dedicated to the Russian digital products and technologies in integrated monitoring of industrial and environmental safety, optimisation and management of production processes at hazardous industrial facilities.It describes the main threats to environmental safety associated with the activities of industrial enterprises, environmental risk factors in various industries and ways to minimize these risks.The approaches, technologies, and products described in the article have been implemented and are used at leading Russian industrial enterprises that operate hazardous production facilities to solve both the tasks of risk-oriented control of industrial safety and ecology, and challenges in management and optimization of production processes.
