The collection and utilization of microlaser emission from semiconductor microcrystals (SCs) are essential to develop high-performance coherent light sources for integrated photonics and optoelectronics. Herein, a novel and high-quality (Q) microlaser that allows efficient coupling to the fiber base is realized by cavity structure engineering. Specifically, we design and fabricate a three-dimensional (3D) confined wave-chaotic resonator by taking perovskite semiconductors as the model system. The novel SC resonators with an inverted-boat geometry enable the achievement of a self-focusing and high-Q single-mode microlaser for the first time. Corroborated by the finite element calculation, the self-focusing behavior is well explained by the chaotic dynamics in the non-Hermitian system, and the strong localization of the wave function around unstable periodic orbits is responsible for the high Q-factor. On this basis, the efficient collection and transportation of laser emission are demonstrated by the laterally coupled laser-on-fiber configuration.
