The article is devoted to the study of the principles of enforcement proceedings. The ratio of the categories «the principle of enforcement proceedings» and “the principle of enforcement law” is evaluated, the hypothesis is proposed that the principles of enforcement proceedings are sectoral principles of enforcement law. Based on the analysis of the existing classifications of principles in science, the reasons for the allocation of sectoral principles are derived. From this position, the legal principles of enforcement proceedings are evaluated. It is concluded that they are not industry-specific, and therefore the search for reasons for the allocation of industry principles is relevant.
