Optimization study reveals humidity ratio improvements in liquid desiccant systems using varying nozzle configurations, suggesting design advantages for specific applications.
This study optimized the design parameters of a liquid desiccant dehumidification air conditioning system for humidity ratio using the Taguchi method and response surface methodology. An L9(34) orthogonal array examined four key parameters: solution flow rate, solution concentration, dehumidification air volume, and regeneration air volume. Results showed that dehumidification air volume was the dominant factor for circular nozzles, while solution concentration was most influential for spiral nozzles. The optimal humidity ratio difference of spiral nozzles was approximately 57% higher than that of circular nozzles, demonstrating their superior performance.
